In a free market, people get to set the price of the labour. In a system with slavery the price of the labour of certain people is set to zero. That is not free. So free markets imply no slavery since setting the price of labor of certain people to zero is a requirement for slavery but not allowed in a free market. The thing that can create slavery is the government imposing rules that prevent the market from being free.
